Elect Jamie Lee

ABOUT ME

I am first a Christian, second a Patriot and third a family man.  I grew up in Crow Wing and Aitkin counties and have lived my entire adult life in District 5.  I’m the fourth generation on the Cuyuna Range.    My Great-Grandfather worked for two of the mining companies in the Cuyuna Range, My Grandfather, Dr. Curren, operated a dental office for his entire career on Main Street in Crosby.  Grandpa Lee was a farmer and truck driver in Aitkin and Deerwood.  His brother R.O. Lee started the First National Bank of Crosby.  Mom was a dental assistant for Grandpa and Dad started out his career delivering bulk oil for heating from Ironton, as an engineer for KTIG radio in Pequot Lakes and also as an over the road truck driver.

As a child we lived in Perry Lake Township, Crosby, Aitkin, Ironton and Brainerd.  During that time I attended and graduated high school from Lake Region Christian School in Baxter.  After high school I earned a Criminal Justice degree from Central Lakes College.  While attending college I also started my career with the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Department as a Correctional Officer.  After earning my degree I continued my career as a Police Officer with the cities of Crosby and Baxter as well as a Deputy with the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Department.  I served in those roles for 18 years.  During the last seven years, I was a member of the Explosive Ordinance Disposal unit and served as the Commander for three of those years.

In 2009, I started a small business.  Within a few short years, that small business grew rapidly.  I found myself needing to choose between my law enforcement career and a business.  I chose to continue to grow our business and left law enforcement.  Fast forward to 2024. Our business, North Central Transfer, Inc. in Crosby now employs 25 of the best staff members in Crow Wing County.

My wife and I are residents of Deerwood Township.  I am the proud stepdad to two great boys and we are blessed to have the cutest granddaughter in the world.  We spend our free time hunting, fishing, camping, motorcycling and most importantly spending time with family.

We have both made the decision to become more involved in our community.  It is easy to sit back and complain, but that doesn’t do anything to help or affect the changes we need to make to improve our area.  This is the reason I have chosen to seek the position of District 5 Crow Wing County Commissioner.  I want to see our community succeed and prosper.  We have a lot of issues facing our county and we need strong leadership with the ability to direct our growth while maintaining the small-town attributes that we have all grown love.

Thank you for taking the time to read up on me and I would greatly appreciate your support and your vote.  Thank you.
